Erik Tonnesen

Musician

Originally from Wilmington, DE, Erik Tonnesen has been working in New York City as a touring musician, nightlife and events DJ, and music producer for nearly a decade. After graduating from NYU he began touring the world with the Island/Def Jam group, Young Love, playing keyboards and synths. Since then he has moonlighted in numerous bands and now has established himself as an indispensable live member of electronic band Holy Ghost! (DFA).

DJ

When not on tour, Erik can be found DJing hip downtown venues like Acme, Public Hotel, Soho/Tribeca Grand and Paul's Baby Grand to name a few.

Producer

In addition to performing and DJing, Tonnesen has been building an impressive resume of production work. Collaborating with his brother Jeffrey Tonnesen (NYC club DJ/producer), he has released remixes for Scissor Sisters, Saint Motel, Cobra Starship and Bridget Kelly. The two have also made runway mixes for fashion companies like Rag & Bone and Acne, produced original songs for Diane von Furstenberg, and worked as playlist consultants for the Lambs Club, James Hotel, and several other popular New York destinations.
